Sophie is a Principal at Anthemis' investment team, where she helps discover, evaluate and execute early stage investments as well as supporting current portfolio companies. Sophie has been recognised as one of the “Standout 35” in the Innovate Finance Women in FinTech Powerlist 2020 and is a regular on the 11:FS's FinTech and InsurTech Insider podcast.

A born and bred Londoner, Sophie has a master’s degree in molecular and cellular biochemistry from the University of Oxford, where she also played women’s rugby. She still plays (tag) rugby and also enjoys getting outside on her bike or trail running when she can.
